The first participative soccer wall to stop violence against women.
Since the start of the pandemic, violence against women has been on the rise but mostly women are taking part in the fight. To involve men in the fight, we decided to target them through football. The french soccer Ligue (LFP) and the association Solidarité Femmes took action for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
We created A Wall for Women : a digital and participative soccer wall that does not serve to counter free kicks, but all blows and violence against women.
Utilizing Instagram stories to start the movement, any photo tagged could be shared on the LFP's accounts Ligue 1 Ubereat (3,4M followers).
Side by side, France's citizens as well as most influential soccer teams and famous players joined together to virtually build the largest wall in the history of soccer. Showing to millions that both male and female are now involved in the fight.
Over 85 million impressions were generated thanks to the involvement of many accounts : the French ligues, the most famous football clubs, the fans and all the people who supported the cause. In addition to the press speaking about it, A Wall for Women was tweeted by the French Minister of equality between Men and Women in person.
