Description
A Giant Band-Aid in the Sea to Heal Indifference.
On July 12 and 13, a large floating art installation appeared off the coast of Bari, one of Southern Italy’s most touristic city, created by VICEVERSA Studio for SOS MEDITERRANEE, an international maritime and humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives at sea. The piece—a 90-square-meter plaster patch adrift in the sea—served as a stark visual metaphor: the Mediterranean is an open wound.
In 2024 alone, over 1,692 people have died or gone missing while trying to cross the Central Mediterranean. But the most dangerous threat may be indifference. The Mediterranean Wound was created to confront that apathy—transforming a symbol of first aid into a call for awareness, action, and solidarity.
This professional campaign titled 'The Mediterranean Wound ' was published in Italy in July, 2025. It was created for the brand: SOS MEDITERRANEE, by ad agency: VICEVERSA Studio. This Ambient, Experiential, and OOH Outdoor media campaign is related to the Health, Public Interest, and Public Utility industries and contains 3 media assets. It was submitted 5 months ago.
