Description

“The Honest Keys”: (“Ärliga Tangenter” in Swedish) functions as an add-on keyboard that users download via App Store and activate in their iOS settings – just like an emoji or language keyboard. It acts by detecting messages that signal poor mental health in the user, such as “I’m fine,” “It’s all good,” or “Everything’s okay”, which prompt the app’s autosuggest feature to react. It then suggests alternatives for more honest responses, such as “I’m actually not doing that well” or “It’s been a bit tough lately.” Created by suicide prevention charity Suicide Zero, the app makes it easier to take that first step of being honest and asking for help.
