Help me understand this one. How is this a circus without animals, and there is an animal in the ad? Is the tiger dead, or is it a fake tiger? I dont get it.
Animals are still used in circuses. They're trained through pain. They're kept in cages too small to be called cages (since they're typically travelling most of the season) and they're performing for people's most base and fleeting entertainment. The tiger in the ad represents a niche of captive animals that aren't governed by the zoos' excuse of 'conservation', their lives are entirely purposed to obedience. It's man as bully, magnified by ignorance, and projected into a ring in front of people who would be fucking horrified if they knew really what they were responsible for. Or, more accurately, their children will.
My bad. I guess i didn't get the obvious. If they are going for that angle than I think the ad could've been a bit more "rough" and not so humoristic or whatever. And the copy "the show must go on", huh?
It's a readability thing, well pointed out. The '...n't..." of "mustn't" is a bit obscured by the striped in the middle, and fan of the apostrophe though I am, it's probably the wrong place to showcase it here.
As to the floppy puppetry of the tiger, I think it's okay as is, apart from the last-minute tail. Though yes, "it would be nice to see a standard tiger circus roar*" for the shot.
*for the last time.
This is a more difficult one. It's about using zebras to make milkshakes, a powerful force in the retail trade. The strings represent elevator lift shafts, and the tiger represents the extinct Sabre Tooth Jacksaw. Hope this helps.
Luis was just playing Undercover Idiot with us. He's not doing that anymore.
Right with you on the sentiment. Execution could be less cartoony, but I fully understand that the circus squad wouldn't be too keen on farming out their animals for a photoshoot. Though you *know*? That would be a fucking great thing to do. Would be a gorgeous epitaph for those animals if the last photo they posed for was one that helped put an end to animals in circuses. I'd love to help for free if there's any copy neeeded.
this has a solid thought and its built from a true vision which i find it a little weird that it is coming from italy.. that country that knows how to handle and do fashion only!

Non si capisce una mazza ragazzi.
Peccato, il brief era molto interessante.
L'Italia merita di più.
(Don't get it. Bad picture. Italy deserves more).
L'ho capita. E' una tigra buratiino. Al circo le tigri sono come burattini... Che scoperta...!!.
(Basic idea)
Definitely a problem that needs to be addressed. But addressed in this way, makes it lame.
I like the thought of having this powerful, dignified creature being made to look so silly. And the line is right on.
The artwork really doesn't bring out the severity of the issue! Though the concept is ok but the art is really basic!!!
And then GOD said...
Let there be creativity!!!
Just think the headline is just an easy way out to try compliment the visual. Not great.
If you are not seeing the fresh point of view or new approach of this series, then it´s ok for you not to understand "what is good" about them.
Brilliant. Too good. I don't find this particular ad has the problem that persists on the trademill/dog issue.
shahid
That one doesn't make me say "wow", it's not really involving for me. But at least I can recognize a thought behind, though I cannot find a very different approach here like in the other one.
