The name ‘Asas’ comes as an allusion to the feathers of birds that the indigenous people use to build their adornments, together with the concept of them “creating wings” to leave their “nests” and gain the world, without forgetting their origins. Also entering the question of the State Government, thinking subjectively: “it (the government) may not give you wings, but it gives you the paths for you to learn to fly”.
Encouragement places indigenous people at the center of personal, social, mental and professional development.
This construction enables indigenous peoples to gain control and mastery over their own lives, changing the future of their communities.
This documentary series produced for the web, wants to emphasize the importance of the public power, in the social encouragement of the ethnic groups, coming from villages and communities of indigenous peoples from Mato Grosso do Sul, through public policies and inclusion programs.
