Finland is the EU’s second-most dangerous country for women, with over half experiencing violence or threats, and 15 women killed annually by a partner. Naisten Linja provides free, confidential support to over a thousand women each year, but 63% of calls go unanswered due to insufficient resources.
Bring the unheard voices of women to life in the most visceral way possible: through the sound of unanswered calls. By trans-forming silence into a symphony of urgency, the campaign made the invisible crisis impossible to ignore.
The campaign launched during the Woman of the Hour premiere, as hidden phones and surround sound filled the theater with a symphony of unanswered calls, escalating from mild annoyance to visceral discomfort before cutting to stark silence and then posing the question. The experience extended to DOOH screens, disrupting cheerful holiday ads with its urgent, haunting sound- scape, making the crisis impossible to overlook.
The campaign turned silence into a rallying cry for action and accountability.
