Description
Meta and Microsoft’s EU-wide restrictions on “political and social issue advertising” unexpectedly silenced Naisten Linja, Finland’s support organisation for women facing violence. Core messages like “Women have the right to live without violence” were blocked overnight.
So we created a loophole: if the messages couldn’t be advertised, products could. We turned the banned statements into a line of T-shirts and hoodies, each funding Naisten Linja’s work, and promoted them on the very platforms that rejected the words themselves.
The campaign transforms commerce into visibility, exposing a policy blind spot affecting nonprofits across Europe and proving that creativity can break through even when the message is banned.
This professional campaign titled 'The Banned Collection' was published in Finland in November, 2025. It was created for the brand: Naisten Linja, by ad agency: hasan & partners. This Ambient, Design, and Digital media campaign is related to the Fashion, Health, and Public Interest industries and contains 4 media assets. It was submitted about 1 month ago by hasan & partners .
