McDonald's Indonesia is going to launch the BTS Meal campaign, but days before the launch, a meteor with green light was dropped on top of big volcano in Indonesia. We saw this as a chance to ride on the momentum, thus we made the meteor light appeared on top of McD, but in purple, the color of the super K-Pop group BTS.
After we posted online, we got massive 80K likes, 3K comments, and plenty shares. Also became sudden viral as many medias and people reposted on their own accounts and all happened in a day. There're so many speculations became quite a discussion on many platforms suspecting McD as the initiator behind the real meteor picture. We also earned free media equal millions Rupiah and free PR before we launch the new menu.
