The Bank of books is part of an association called Gaucho Foundation Social Banks, an association where the commerce and industry get together for social projects in education, culture and human assistance. From October 28, beginning the book´s donations throughout the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The books are collected, cataloged and distributed in penitentiaries across the state. The film "The book" besides asking for donations, presents a much-discussed reality in Brazilian society, the importance of education in reducing violence.
