Description
Athens is a city full of contradictions. But then again, through antithesis comes synthesis. The engrained characteristics and wisdom of old, and the limitless possibilities of an incessantly evolving future; one of technological advancement.
Our creative idea is to combine the two visually, to deconstruct them and create a new symbol in the process.
Thus, we borrow the universally recognisable figure of the owl of Athena – a timeless symbol of wisdom, perspicacity and academia, and revisualize it through a modern tech-oriented style and layout, in order to emphasize the workshop’s subject matter. An ancient Greek statue turned into a futuristic, innovative palimpsest.
Accompanied with a short title of an ambiguous, but complimentary meaning, Greece is ready to host the upcoming MIT GSW and enter a new age of technological wisdom and possibility.
