Description

Sexto Sentido is a transmedia project by Jairo Guerrero, a sound artist and sonic explorer recognized for his avant-garde approach to electronic music. This work expands music beyond sound, transforming it into a sensory experience where literature, design, and technology converge.

Inspired by El Sexto Sentido, a short story by Mexican poet and novelist Amado Nervo (1870-1919), this album reinterprets his exploration of perception and time, creating a dialogue between the physical and digital realms.

The limited-edition release, with only 100 hand-numbered copies, comes in an artisanally assembled package that translates the story’s narrative into a tangible experience. It includes a mirror with an introspective message, three visual postcards that extend the album’s atmosphere, and a QR code leading to www.misextosentido.net, a platform where the original short story comes to life as an interactive PDF synchronized with the music. Through this integration, literature and sound intertwine in a multisensory journey.

Every element of Sexto Sentido is connected in an infinite cycle. Literature inspires music, music brings a physical and digital experience to life, and the listener-reader returns to the story with a renewed perception. More than just an album, Sexto Sentido is an expansive work that redefines the boundaries of the musical format, exploring the relationship between art, memory, and perception in an experience that doesn’t end—it evolves with every listen and reading.
