Description

Everyone knows Spotify Wrapped. That includes our competitors. And the most random of entities. And then suddenly, everyone is copying what you’ve been doing. Serving their own undercooked, under-seasoned version of Wrapped.

So to level up Wrapped, we created Run The Distance - a live event where we turned the listening data into an interactive experience. We took the data of Manana’s amapiano hit “Distance” – 4337 hours of listening time – and turned it into a 43KM marathon. This created an experience that was an intersection of listeners and leggers (those who run, no matter their ability) that brought them closer to Wrapped and Spotify.
