For people living with the rare disease of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), strength is redefined every single day. It lives in resilience, in persistence, in the quiet determination to move forward—on their own terms. SMA is part of their lives, but it does not define their identity, their ambitions, their will, their dreams, or their future.

“NOW YOU KNOW” by SMA Hellas—the Association of Patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy in Greece—was created to challenge the way we perceive strength and disability. By shifting the narrative away from limitations and outdated stereotypes rooted in pity, the campaign puts the spotlight on the raw power of the human spirit, reframing the conversation around capability, presence, and equal participation in life.

With the participation of real SMA patients, the film captures authentic, unfiltered moments that reflect a universal truth: people with SMA live life to the fullest. They fall in love, reach professional milestones, celebrate growth, pursue their goals, take on responsibility, and shape their own path forward—just like everyone else.

By giving space and visibility to their voices, the campaign turns awareness into recognition. It invites audiences to confront their assumptions and see strength where it truly exists.
