This commercial is an execution direction of the Echefula Campaign. This is borne from the insight that young Nigerians have begun to forget their cultural identities in favour of Western ideals. The campaign is a call for everyone to never forget their indigenous roots. (Echefula translates to Never Forget in Igbo language). Our elders say that a river that forgets it’s source will soon dry up. This was the inspiration behind our latest campaign for Hero: the need to remind our consumers that no matter where they find themselves, they must never forget their identity. It is for this reason that we have employed Nsibidi, an ancient form of writing indigenous to many societies in today’s South East and South South regions.
