He’s Not Truly Apologising, He’s Just Investing in the Next Blow.
Description
In abusive relationships, a gift is rarely just a gift.
It becomes a tool, a way to reset the fear, to disguise control as affection,
and to reopen the cycle of violence. In the poster, the long, narrow cut-out in the gift box deliberately resembles the slot of a knife, turning the elegant gesture into something much darker. The present doesn’t symbolize love; it symbolizes the next wound emotional or physical.
By framing a “romantic” object inside something that visually echoes a blade, the poster exposes the chilling truth behind manipulative make-up gifts.
Created for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
