Green Fables
Agency: Feito
Description
Feito, a Brazilian production company and creative studio that integrates artificial intelligence into the development of original projects, launches Green Fables, a collection of children’s books that reimagines classic tales by incorporating contemporary themes related to environmental preservation. The project is designed with an international reach strategy, featuring cultural adaptations planned for some of the world’s largest carbon-emitting countries, such as China, the United States, India, and Russia, in addition to Brazil. The initiative combines storytelling, technology, and social impact to expand the climate conversation through accessible and culturally relevant narratives.
Created and written by Vinícius Malinoski, CEO and CCO of Feito, a Brazilian company, and Guilherme Rech, Creative Director, the project is based on the following idea: what if we used fables and fairy tales, stories where nature plays a central role, to talk to children about a complex issue, the climate emergency, in a simple and engaging way?
In the Brazilian reinterpretation of Little Red Riding Hood, for example, the protagonist is a Black girl who encounters an injured maned wolf in the cerrado biome. The antagonist is not the animal, but illegal land grabbers responsible for wildfires. In The Three Little Pigs, the characters exploit natural resources to build fragile, low-cost structures. Nature reacts to the lack of sustainable planning, leading the protagonists to rethink their decisions and adopt more responsible practices. In Snow White, the princess and her stepmother join forces to combat pollution coming from the seven dwarfs’ mine. In all versions, the narrative replaces the classic villain with a reflection on development and environmental responsibility.
Other titles, such as The Ant and the Grasshopper and Jack and the Beanstalk, are also part of the series, expanding its range and potential to connect with different audiences. Each story will receive specific cultural adaptations for different countries, reinforcing the global nature of the project. One example is the Russian version of Little Red Riding Hood. In this adaptation, the forest animal is a gray wolf, suited to the tundra climate. Unlike the maned wolf, this species is not endangered, so the focus shifts to the threat that wildfires pose in Russia.
From a production standpoint, Green Fables combines human creativity and technology. Feito hired experienced illustrator Marcelo Calenda, who blended digital painting with AI tools to develop the visual identity of the stories. The artist trained and guided the use of technology, ensuring production scale without losing the human touch and aesthetic consistency.
“Feito was born from the combination of creativity, technology, and entertainment. With Green Fables, we showcase our full capabilities, as this is an original creative initiative that uses the best of human talent combined with the scale of artificial intelligence. Without that, we would never have been able to launch this project on a global scale from the start,” says Vinícius Malinoski, author and CEO of Feito.
With international ambition, the project is built on a global distribution strategy. Green Fables will feature versions specially adapted for markets that account for some of the highest carbon emission levels worldwide, with translations and cultural adaptations in Mandarin, for China, English, for the United States, Hindi, for India, and Russian, for Russia, in addition to the original Brazilian Portuguese version. The choice of these markets aims to bring the environmental message directly to contexts where the climate debate has the greatest global impact.
