Description

In March 2022, a massive forest fire erupted in the mountainous region of Gangneung-Donghae, South Korea, affecting around 4,000 hectares. Mukho Star Village suffered extensive damage due to its proximity to the forests, hindered by narrow alleyways for fire trucks. The aftermath of the fire left lasting scars in the hearts of the residents, with visible traces of destruction throughout the area. In response to this devastating event, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism collaborated with the National Fire Agency and Donghae City to plan a campaign aimed at healing the affected people and preventing future fire incidents. The campaign coincided with Firefighters' Day, emphasizing the importance of fire safety and resilience.

The campaign, named Fire Safe Walls, aimed to revitalize the fire damaged Mukho Star Village by utilizing a special fire-resistant paint. The campaign focused on identifying the narrow alleyways that posed challenges for fire trucks to access, as well as areas adjacent to forests. By painting these Fire Safe Walls, the campaign aimed to slow down the spread of fire during fire incidents and to allow residents to secure the crucial "golden hour" and evacuate safely. Additionally, they act as guiding pathways, offering reassurance to those previously gripped by fear during the forest fire.

This professional campaign titled 'Fire Safe Walls' was published in South Korea in October, 2022. It was created for the brand: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, by ad agency: Dminusone. This Design and OOH Outdoor media campaign is related to the Other industry and contains 2 media assets. It was submitted about 8 hours ago.
