Imagine that thing you don’t want anyone to know — the truth you’re not ready to share yet, or that late-night online purchase you’re a little embarrassed about. Now imagine all of it becoming public, shouted out loud by a parrot that just won’t shut up. Buenos Aires–based agency Lanzallamas produced a campaign that uses humor to highlight one of humanity’s biggest concerns: the protection of digital privacy. That’s the premise behind “Encrypt the Parrot,” a new global public-interest communication for the Internet Society and the Global Encryption Coalition, launched for Global Encryption Day 2025.
