You just can't help reading the rest of the copy after the first sentense. It's got a great hook to it.
It reminds me a tad of another beautifully written double-page spread campaign for General Motor's EV1 (Electric Car) done several years ago, which is on the list of my all-time favorite print campaigns among others.
I've never heard of bill parker and matt williamson but now I'll find out more.

I'm all for long copy but these are not grabbing me at all. At all.
Maybe I'm too cynical and impatient, but I want witty, driving lines that add another dimension to the image - twist it, make it funny, make me think laterally. I think some people are just impressed with more than 2 sentences in a row.
I've seen posts by Joseph Campbell with way more inspired writing than this.
Then convice us, me thinks.

'Motivation' poster speak...
Mountain peaks. Sunrises. Dolphins.
Pull off Lexus logo and whack in Hallmark.
We expect more than this.
