A sound heard across the universe. McDonald’s takes it to space.
In the latest campaign for McDonald’s, the chicken is so crunchy that it nearly derails the mission to get astronauts safe back home. In the epic scenario, a space flight is coming to an end as the spacecraft begins to enter the atmosphere. Suddenly, a loud disturbing sound alarms the astronauts. Is there something wrong with the spacecraft?
The suspenseful film recreates iconic imagery of the 1970s’ American space missions and adds a twist to one of the most well-known stories ever told. Directed by the acclaimed Polish director Maciek Kowalczuk, the film balances the scale of the set pieces with the character bits from the ensemble cast.
Set designer Giorgos Stylianou-Matsis built almost the exact replica of Houston Space Center mission control room, using the the decade’s muted palette of grey, green and beige, which is also present in the costumes, designed by Zofia Komasa.
