Opera GX has unleashed its most chaotic campaign yet, created by Officer & Gentleman, in which gaming setups come alive to take brutal revenge on their neglectful owners. The darkly absurd series of ads delivers a simple message beneath the madness: your PC wants Opera GX, and if you keep holding it back with a basic browser, there will be consequences. The campaign features four surreal films where humanoid PCs engage in everything from violent rampages to romantic betrayals, launching with two over-the-top spots timed perfectly for Halloween.

In the first film, a gamer’s repeated choice to open a default browser proves fatal when his PC morphs into a towering murderbot made of keyboards, cables, and carnage, dishing out bone-crunching punishment straight out of The Matrix. The chaos is capped with a reminder to “Upgrade to the gaming browser.” The second ad jumps to the gamer’s funeral, where mourners are interrupted by a SWAT team storming the chapel to subdue the killer computer hiding among them. As grief turns to pandemonium, the campaign cements Opera GX’s reputation for outrageous humour, creative world-building, and a message gamers won’t forget anytime soon.
