International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an intergovernmental organization founded in 1951 with headquarters in Geneva. IOM in the Czech Republic has been active since 1998. For migrants who need to return home but lack the means to do so, IOM’s program of Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration is often the only solution to their immediate plight. IOM ensures that migrants in need are assisted to return home voluntarily, safely and in dignity, and are supported in achieving sustainable reintegration, in full respect for human rights, regardless of their status.
