IOM UN Migration – Human trafficking
Agency: AZN kru
Description
Most refugees fleeing war in Ukraine are mothers with children, some of which were transported from Ukrainian borders by private entities bypassing the registration process. The existing, well-established network of traffickers in the Czech Republic takes the flow of refugees from Ukraine as an opportunity. There are disturbing reports of increased recruitment activity by traffickers. The refugees are advised against participating in the established registration and support system and are lured into the irregular procedures, promising access to better living standards, job opportunities, and long-term residence permit arrangements.
This video aims to show those people how to avoid the risks, how to respond to recruitment attempts, and whom to contact for assistance.
The campaign is created in cooperation with two leading entities in the field of migration and human trafficking – UN Migration (IOM Prague) and La Strada Czech Republic.
