This is the story of how a foosball table made the most discriminatory country in the world start talking about diversity.
Let's start with the context: In Peru, 3 out of 4 Peruvians declare having felt discriminated against by another Peruvian.
The thing is, Peru is an extremely diverse country. More than 30 languages are spoken within it, and people from the highlands, the coast, and the jungle coexist with different customs and idiosyncrasies.
That's why Adidas, the official sponsor of the Peruvian national team, decided to literally put diversity on the table to bring about a change. Introducing: The People’s Foosball. The first foosball table that represents all those Peruvians who make the jersey proud. Fishermans, Athletes, chefs, Skaters, Artisans, and more.
Each foosball figure was meticulously digitally designed and hand painted by local artists representing a diverse array of real-life heroes from across the country.
A piece designed to unite, and generate the conversations it has needed for so long. A true masterpiece of Peruvian ingenuity and pride.
We invited representatives from all over the country to talk about diversity while playing a match on the table. Creating content for discussions about how important it is for everyone to play on the same team as a nation. Infecting the audience and taking the conversation to social media, we turned a simple game into a powerful symbol of togetherness, proving that even small actions can open big conversations.
