Background
In Peru, many people don’t have a home of their own.
They’re often forced to live in places where they don’t truly belong — like their in-laws’ house, crowded with relatives, or in tiny spaces barely big enough for a bed.
Idea
Instead of building another conventional sales showroom, Barqueros Inmobiliaria created the first real estate escape room — inspired by one of those places everyone dreams of leaving: your in-laws’ house.
Visitors had to escape from a space styled like an old-fashioned family house — cluttered, overbearing, and full of familiar chaos. Those who managed to escape didn’t just win bragging rights — they earned 50% off the down payment for their own apartment. A clever, symbolic first step toward escaping the place where they live now, and moving into a home of their own.
