On one side, traditional banking. On the other, a new generation reshaping the future, yet disconnected from financial brands. The challenge was to bridge the gap and transform a bank into a lasting, progressive brand. In 2024, comdirect -a brand of Commerzbank AG- was searching for a spark to move beyond conventional marketing activities and sponsorships, exploring new ways to connect with the next generation.
We initiated a collab by pairing comdirect with two cultural disruptors: reezy, rapper and producer, and youth icon Achraf Bouzalim, founder of 6PM, a leading streetwear brand. Together, we launched the Team "Bürgeramt" within Icon League, an indoor football competition uniting ex-athletes, artists, and influencers. This wasn't just a sponsorship, it was a statement, embedding the brand comdirect into the culture. In the end, we didn't just launch a campaign. We redefined what a bank can do.
