Description
Tears of Extinction uses a simple visual metaphor to highlight how fragile endangered species have become. Each artwork features a close-up of a human face shedding a single tear. As it falls, the tear subtly takes the shape of an endangered animal.
In one execution, the tear forms a mountain gorilla. In another, it becomes a whale. In the last, a parrot. Different species, the same fate.
Like a tear, these species can disappear in seconds.
The campaign draws a parallel between the fleeting nature of human emotion and the alarming speed at which wildlife is vanishing. By turning a tear into the animal itself, the work transforms empathy into urgency, reminding us that feeling sad is not enough. Action must happen before it is too late.
