In Peru, every first Sunday in February is Mole Day, a date dedicated to raising awareness about the prevention and early detection of skin cancer and its different types.
This occurs during one of the hottest seasons with the highest solar radiation, summer, when workers who use Norton products, due to their outdoor work, are potential victims of the sun and its harmful consequences if they do not take care of themselves.
That is why we decided to send them an awareness message based on an opportunity we identified: the similarity between a rust stain and melanoma. Because anyone who uses Norton sandpaper knows how easy it is to remove stains, but not if they are on your skin.
The video was accompanied by practical advice such as applying high-protection sunscreen, wearing protective clothing in addition to PPE, and a recommendation to visit a dermatologist once a year. It was shared on the all official platforms of the Norton community.
