Raylo

Something Better Always Comes Along

Agency: Stink Studios

Description

Stink Studios has created a new brand campaign for Raylo, a subscription service for phones, laptops, tablets, consoles and other electronics. Built around the tagline “Something Better Always Comes Along,” the campaign uses a relationship break-up scenario to capture attention and bring humour to the idea of upgrading technology.

The campaign takes a different approach from typical tech advertising, reflecting Raylo’s own alternative to the traditional model of buying devices. It is the brand’s first TV campaign in several years and Stink Studios’ first work for Raylo after winning the business through a competitive pitch.

The campaign highlights how quickly technology becomes outdated, comparing upgrading devices to modern dating. Rather than committing to a device that may soon feel old, Raylo’s subscription model allows customers to move on to something newer and better when the time comes. The campaign will run across mainstream TV on Channel 4, Channel 4 partners, VOD and YouTube.

Raylo describes the campaign as its biggest brand effort to date, designed to bring the brand to a national audience with a humorous creative approach. Stink Studios’ creative team similarly draws a parallel between keeping technology and relationships casual, suggesting that subscribing makes it easier to move on when something better comes along.
