Description
Rich in water, biodiversity, and ideal climatic conditions, Colombia produces some of the finest coffee in the world. However, not all is privilege. In the coffee-growing regions, there are remote communities facing significant social gaps, where many lack access to basic necessities such as clean water and education. Children are the most affected by these hardships.
We also discovered that school dropout rates are closely linked to factors such as the lack of potable water, inadequate food preparation facilities, and poorly maintained restrooms. These conditions result in children suffering from multiple illnesses caused by poor sanitation.
That’s why Buencafé, Colombia’s leading freeze-dried coffee factory, decided to commemorate its 50th anniversary by creating a series of postcards to rally support from various companies. Together, we aim to raise funds to bring water filtration systems, restroom repairs, and sports facility upgrades to forgotten schools. This initiative is transforming the lives of hundreds of children.
