Von D Shoes is making waves with “Dive Into the Deep End,” a striking new campaign shot entirely at Kat Von D’s Los Angeles home, featuring her now-iconic bright red pool. The launch aims to secure Von D Shoes’ place in the competitive luxury footwear market while staying true to Kat Von D’s blend of glamour, edge, and craftsmanship.
Created by Good Kids, the campaign draws on Old Hollywood allure and haute couture sophistication to showcase two of the brand’s top-selling designs, the Swoon and Coven Buckle shoes. Underwater photographer Andrea Hunter captured dreamlike portraits of model Alisa, a trained underwater posing specialist known in the industry as a “mermaid.” The result is a visual story where beauty, desire, and surreal elegance meet.
The rollout spans digital, social, and print, pairing unforgettable stills with cinematic motion assets to drive reach and desire. “The red pool had already captivated the public through outlets like Newsweek, LA Times, TMZ, and Insider,” said Steve Rock, creative director at Good Kids. “We knew it could be more than a backdrop. It could be the centerpiece of a fantasy that turns Von D Shoes into an object of obsession.”
Andrea Hunter added, “Underwater photography lets us create something that feels timeless and surreal at the same time. Alisa’s skill in the water meant we could push the boundaries of both fashion and visual storytelling.”
