Description

More than 800 marine species are affected by plastic waste. Humans produce more than 300 million tons of plastic waste per year, of which 8 million tons end up in the ocean. Whales, turtles, fish, corals, jellyfish and even species in the deepest parts of the ocean have been found to have plastic particles in their bodies.
CEMarin is an NGO dedicated to the generation of knowledge, providing the necessary inputs to guide decision making and offering practical solutions to problems related to the protection and sustainability of marine biodiversity and other marine and coastal resources.
That is why we need to campaign with a clear and strong message, inviting to take action on the serious problem of plastic pollution.
