In Germany, a popular nickname for McDonald’s is „Goldene Möwe” - the Golden Seagulls. It probably goes back to the “Golden M”, which is the logo of McDonald’s. If you look at it with a little imagination, it looks like a seagull on the horizon. When McDonald’s Germany was to promote their Filet-o-Fish® sandwich, we saw it as an excellent opportunity to celebrate this cultural insight and bring it to life in playful and product relevant way.
