October is here, which means cool air, fall foliage, and the beautiful colors that so many of us love. While cities like New York and Chicago boast neon lights, millions of people flock to North Carolina every year to take in views such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains – and experience real fall colors.

To share the natural beauty, Visit North Carolina announces a new campaign from its creative agency of record, Luquire. To highlight the fall colors already in New York City, the campaign incorporates transparent leaf-shaped magnets and stickers placed across the city everywhere that portrays a pop of fall color.

Using the manmade colors of New York, the campaign demonstrates the organic colors North Carolina has to offer. Entitled “For Real Fall Colors,” a 60-second spot shot in downtown Manhattan accompanies the OOH campaign, depicting the fall colors visible behind the posters, including everything from brick buildings to taxi cabs, sidewalks, and street signs.

The video and photo assets of passersby reactions to the installations go live this week across social. As fall foliage migrates across the state from the mountains to the coast, Luquire will continue to provide visitors with scenic options for their trips into November. In 2024, the agency will utilize the assets again, along with new variations of footage, to launch a larger push starting in late summer.
