For us, fireworks are a way to celebrate a joyful New Year, but elsewhere, they bring fear and destruction. At a glance, fireworks and missiles used in war can look strikingly similar.
At first glance, the image used in the campaign might seem to depict fireworks, but it actually shows air missiles over Gaza City, highlighting the stark contrast between celebration and crisis.
In Finland, consumer fireworks are widely used on New Year’s Eve. Ahead of the celebrations, we encouraged Finns to donate their fireworks budget to help create a brighter New Year for every child.
