DEBTS THAT BARK

Behind every rescued dog, there’s a debt almost nobody sees. Each visual in “Debts That Bark” represents a real rescued dog and a real unpaid veterinary bill. By turning every debt into a face, name and story, the campaign transformed something as everyday as ordering pizza into a way of helping an overwhelmed animal shelter keep rescuing lives.

“Debts That Bark” was a campaign created in Bolivia for Pizza Río × Coca-Cola to help a local animal shelter overwhelmed by veterinary debt. Instead of showing debt as a number, the campaign gave every unpaid treatment a real face, name and story: each unpaid treatment belonged to a rescued dog waiting for help. Beyond helping pay 100% of the shelter’s veterinary debt, the campaign also increased visibility, mobilized community support, generated donations and promoted dog adoptions.
