Officials with MUG Root Beer say their fans are “built different,” claiming their fans are fiercely loyal, ridiculously absurd, and absolutely convinced that they have “got that dawg in them.”

According to a release from MUG Root Beer, the company is now rewarding that energy with the first-ever DAWG DNA Kit, a kit designed to determine how much dawg fans actually have inside of them.

Our followers inspired us to adopt the phrase ‘GOT THAT DAWG IN YOU?™’ as the official slogan of MUG Root Beer, and they’ve been hounding our mascot Dog for dawg approval since. Now it’s our turn to uncover who the real dawgs are and welcome them into Dog’s pack.

Gamble adds that the new kit provided by MUG Root Beer will give fans the ultimate validation and proof of their dawg status as well as the opportunity to own that status with pride.

Each DAWG DNA Kit available contains the following:

A can of MUG Root Beer (the official refreshment of the dawgs)

A “dog drool” dropper for collecting the MUG-enhanced sample

Test card that reveals the results

A real dog DNA kit ($90 value), so fans can see how their dawg status stacks up next to their furry best friend

The limited edition kits are said to help connect MUG fans with their fellow dawgs and Dog, the MUG Root Beer mascot.

To determine how much dawg is in someone, those who receive the kit will need to sip the root beer provided then collect a saliva sample and drop it into the pre-supplied test that will provide official DNA results ranging from 30% dawg to the rare 110% dawg.

MUG officials say the kit will officially drop in the Mug Root Beer TikTok Shop on Friday, January 10, at 12:00 p.m.

Kits will be rewarded for free via a redeemable access code to the first 200 fans who buy two 10-packs of the recently launched MUG Root Beer Mini Cans on the MUG Root Beer Shop.
