Description

A few weeks ago, Bitburger launched a major campaign in print, out-of-home, and online across various European countries. The campaign featured text in the national languages, tailored to highlight each respective nation's unique qualities. For example, readers of major newspapers such as Italy's "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Spain's "El Pais," and Belgium's "Le Soir" were invited to "please" visit Germany in the summer. Additionally, large-scale out-of-home advertisements were installed in busy squares in the centers of European capitals like Leicester Square in London, Beaubourg in Paris, and Gran Via in Madrid, inviting locals to enjoy a Bitburger (or two) in Germany.

The international campaign culminated in a social media film styled as a reportage. The film captured statements and reactions from people of various nationalities, who were purportedly visiting Germany solely because of Bitburger's invitation to taste the beer with the legendary Bitburger Siegelhopfen. The film humorously suggested there were no other reasons for their visit to Germany. Watch the film here.

Christoph Weber, Chief Marketing Officer at Bitburger, commented, "The almost magical effect of a friendly 'Bitte' is often underestimated. Wrongly so, because a simple 'Bitte' is the easiest way to open doors and connect people. I think the idea that so many Europeans are currently visiting Germany and having a good time is wonderful. We wanted to make a contribution to this with our campaign."

We extended an invitation to our international guests to join us in this feeling of togetherness and joy. And with a lot of warmth and humor—because what brings people closer together?"

Bitburger is the official beer partner of UEFA EURO 2024™. As a national partner, Bitburger holds the title of Official Beer Partner of UEFA EURO 2024™, which will take place in Germany until July 14, 2024, under the motto "United by Football. United in the heart of Europe." Bitburger has already launched various campaigns for this event, including an eye-catching 360° campaign in retail and gastronomy, as well as the highly emotional, cross-media campaign "Please let's celebrate what brings us together.”
