Marklinica partnered with Vitalé to craft a visually rich, vintage-inspired brand identity and packaging for its latest rice cake range. The goal was to blend authenticity, heritage, and health, making each pack a tribute to natural ingredients while ensuring an engaging shelf presence.

Art Direction: Rustic Heritage Meets Wholesome Nutrition
The design aesthetic takes inspiration from traditional artisan food packaging, combining warm, earthy tones, textured elements, and classic typography to evoke a sense of trust and nostalgia. By incorporating vintage script, hand-drawn details, and a rich color palette, the packaging seamlessly balances premium quality with an inviting, homegrown feel.

A Cohesive Visual Language for a Diverse Range
To ensure product differentiation while maintaining a unified brand presence, each Vitalé Rice Cake variant was given a distinct yet harmonious color scheme:

✅ Plain – A deep green with golden accents to emphasize its natural simplicity.
✅ Himalayan Salt – A warm, rich burgundy representing purity and mineral goodness.
✅ Brown Rice – A toasted brown shade, highlighting wholegrain nourishment.
✅ Quinoa & Chia – A natural beige infused with depth and texture, emphasizing superfood qualities.

The classic vintage aesthetic enhances the perception of a wholesome, nutritious snack while standing out in the modern health-food category.

Blending Storytelling with Functionality
Every detail—from the textured backgrounds to the handwritten-style product descriptions—was carefully designed to create an emotional connection, making the consumer feel like they are selecting a heritage-inspired, crafted product rather than just a simple rice cake.

With this project, Marklinica has once again merged storytelling, design, and functionality to create packaging that is as visually satisfying as it is nutritionally rewarding.
