I´ve read the rather harsh comments about the art direction and i dont like this bashing but they are right: there is no art direction at all. The look came from the photographer but it´s the art directors job to judge the composing and that sucks. It looks totally unrealistic and handdrawn in there. And another point - which is often overlooked these days - but is completely inexistent in this ad is the layout. I mean come on. If you just put a line next to the product brazilian style than think at least about an interesting typeface. It feels as if this ad was done without an art director at all.

I would call it lack of talent.
