Description
Audible and independent creative group Hello have turned Jennifer Coolidge’s viral Bondi stunt into the centrepiece of an integrated campaign built around the simple idea that you can get lost in an audiobook.
Audible secretly brought Coolidge to Sydney, where she was ‘spotted’ wandering around Bondi with a bright orange trolley, headphones on and seemingly lost in an audiobook. The moment was seeded through a carefully selected mix of media and creators to spark public intrigue, build real-world conversation and subtly introduce the brand before revealing it was part of a larger campaign.
The stunt was designed to “earn fame first,” with a reveal film, consumer activation and broader campaign following. Audible has now released a tell-all after-film showing how Coolidge became lost in an audiobook while filming the brand campaign, connecting the viral sighting to the larger idea.
The campaign has now expanded across Australia with TVC, social, retail films and OOH. The work carries the same message into paid media, showing how getting lost in a great story can transform an everyday moment.
