Description

The focus of the fundraising campaign under the slogan "Wir pfeifen auf euer Mitleid“ (which literally translates to "we whistle on your pity", referencing a German proverb that means to not give a damn about something) is to draw a clear distinction between empathy and pity, which is often used as a tool to generate attention and donations — but at the expense of those affected.
That's why we no longer want to hear statements like "Oh, how poor." – and literally whistle at them. Using AI, expressions of pity were translated into sounds, creating the campaign's musical theme. The campaign puts the people of the houses at its center, highlighting why they reject pity — but not empathy. To tell this story authentically, the residents themselves were invited to step in front of the camera.
