We’re excited to share Why Drive When You Can Ride?, a playful and sharply observed campaign by Jef Boes for Bolt, challenging city dwellers to rethink the car as their default transport.
Shot over two sun-drenched days in Lisbon, the series contrasts the daily grind of car ownership with the smooth ease of a Bolt ride. Think: stiff necks, blinking dashboard lights, and the dreaded check-engine bill. Versus the quiet, sweat-free simplicity of riding.
More than 55% of Bolt users say they no longer need a car in the city. This campaign shows us why. Commissioned by Bolt’s international team and produced by Belgian-based ILA Studio, the visuals bring the pace and quirks of city life to life with Jef’s signature blend of humour, energy, and humanity. A global campaign made to move, now rolling out across cities worldwide.
