Virgin Hotel’s holiday campaign highlights its commitment to providing fun, unexpected escapes wonderful year-round. The brand has partnered again with agency of record JOAN Studios to bring festive and targeted spots to remind consumers that this upcoming holiday season shouldn’t limit the rest of the year’s spiritedness.

Many look forward to the season for the fuzzy feelings associated with gift-giving, family time, and traveling. But why limit a good thing to one short timeframe? At Virgin Hotels, joy is prevalent year-round thanks to the wonder to discover with each stay. The new spots continue a rich visual world of an ownable photographic collage style JOAN Studios created for the brand, with the charming device of the advent calendar. And at the end of the advent calendar, a gift - a promotion to book for the year going forward.

Launching November 7th and running across socials, the 15-second spots put the viewer in the middle of a 3D advent calendar, an immersive vehicle to depict the unexpectedness for which Virgin Hotels have come to be known: a welcome surprise behind every red door.
The spots are filled with whimsy and a touch of the surreal. JOAN Studios conceived the 3D collage approach to create a magical, holidayland space that fits the playful and quirky aesthetic of the brand.

Each spot features one of the eight cities that are home to a Virgin Hotel. Taking inspiration from real imagery captured at each location, JOAN Studios then abstracted that reality into its advent calendar. The final product features colorful and eccentric spaces that are full of life; vignettes where anyone can imagine themselves diving into an experience entirely their own.

The work delightfully transports the viewer into the playfully luxe Virgin Hotels world. A delightful gift that you’ll just need to experience for yourself.
