Whether you realize it or not, there is a player inside everyone. You may feel like Michael Jordan while dunking a paper toss, kicking a bottle on the road like Messi, or even sprinting like Usain Bolt to catch a bus. Not to mention, feeling like Shoaib Akhtar (fast bowler) every now and then. And during one special event, this player inside people takes over everything in Bangladesh: The world cup.
Sprint’s slogan being “Ignite Your Spark,” we wanted to connect this insight with the brand motto for their world cup campaign. So we crafted the line, “There is a player inside all of us” to show how even the most ordinary people can have a player inside them.
We kicked off with a film starring brand ambassador Jamal Bhuyian,
encountering everyday people, who surprise him with their football skills.
We also released visuals featuring the AV characters representing their inner players. The film and visuals were featured in social media, print media, stores, digital displays, and match screenings nationwide. We partnered up with popular sports journalists and pages to highlight the campaign as well as the most popular platforms to place the ads.
The campaign took the nation by storm. The film became one of the most viewed and the most shared content during the world cup in Bangladesh.
