Description
Paintings that represent liberations, revolutions, and independence movements share something in common: women are almost absent from them. In fact, only about 1% of the figures represented are female, even though the reality was very different. This absence reveals how history has also been told from an incomplete perspective. That’s why we took our concept “There’s Only One” to highlight this reality and show that, even in images that celebrate freedom, women have been made invisible. Because freedom is also something that must change starting from our own history.
