The Florida Lottery is launching a new brand platform called “The Department of Good Fun,” a play on words to embody all the good it does by funding education in the state through every game sold. The initial launch of this new positioning, with the tagline “it’s good fun,” is rolling out throughout October 2024. A holiday spot featuring Santa Claus himself interviewing for a job at the Department of Good Fun launched November 1.

Created by longtime AOR PPK, the new positioning establishes the Lottery itself as a purpose-driven brand through a fictitious entity, The Florida Lottery’s Department of Good Fun, which dramatizes the government organization as a whimsical, innovative place centered equally around play and philanthropy — the epicenter of fun games that give back to the state of Florida.
