As new global partner of the ICC, Marriott Bonvoy launched THE CLOSER THE BETTER, a campaign platform celebrating the intersection of cricket, travel, and cultural experiences for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The campaign was connected and executed by global marketing agency 160over90.
The launch campaign starred iconic Indian international cricketer and former captain Rohit Sharma, as well as former England batsman turned commentator Kevin Pietersen—in a variety of comedic scenes showing Marriott Bonvoy members one-upping each other with their once-in-a-lifetime cricket experiences.
The campaign lived across broadcast, BVOD, social and digital channels.
