Garage Beer

Terrors of the Tailgate

Description

Garage Beer and Kingsford turn the chaotic rituals of NFL tailgating into a collection of Halloween-inspired trading cards with “Terrors of the Tailgate.” Created by Garage Beer’s in-house team led by Corey Smale, the campaign transforms familiar football fans and game-day behaviours into a cast of monsters inspired by ’90s sports marketing and collectible cards.

Leading the collection is Garage Beer co-owner Jason Kelce as the “King of the Tailgate,” joined by characters including the Table Smasher, Face Paint Fanatic, Cooler Raider and Parking Lot Prophet. Kingsford gets its own creature, the Flamekeeper, who controls the meat, fire and seemingly the entire tailgate atmosphere.

The monsters also star in a hero film directed by Jordan Phoenix, with Kelce leading the search for the Terrors. The film runs across Garage Beer’s social channels, while fans can purchase packs of the limited-edition cards for $5.99 through Garage Beer.

The campaign taps into nostalgia for the ’90s, bringing together football, Halloween and trading cards while celebrating the wonderfully excessive traditions of tailgating. The affordable cards are designed to recreate the personal, playful spirit of old-school brand merchandise, with the essentials remaining unchanged: friends, beer, a cooler and plenty of meat on the grill.
