Currently, the day is marked by key activities including wreath-laying ceremonies, military parades, and the launch of the remembrance emblem. However, a significant gap has emerged between the rituals of the day and the emotional connection of the public. Our core challenge is that these activities are perceived as formal routines, and the profound essence of sacrifice, honour, and national unity is not deeply felt by the average Nigerian. This body of work seeks to bridge that gap.
